great movie great review cant wait for the next

  2. Paul says:

If I recall, the Makai knight Yaiba is female

  3. I don’t know why, but Kouga reminds me of a live-action Seto Kaiba. Just without a dragon fetish.

Otherwise, generally good review, just had two issues with it:
1.) I think the CGI is good for special effects, but I had an issue with the CG Garo suit. Something about it seemed way too fake to me. Maybe if they didn’t use CGI for the suit until the final battle, it’d be okay, but personally, it was overused, which I think is a bad thing in a Toku movie if there aren’t SOME practical effects in there.
2.) Like most of your recent reviews, which are well put together videos, I think some jokes and clips go on for too long.

EZ you better call the ghost busters.

  5. Donovan Graf says:

that growling sound…I know it from somewhere…[flashbacks to Guyver 2 with Lisker growling at Atkins] *snaps fingers* Thought that sounded familiar and someone might want to get Hellboy and the crew on the horn

  6. Dan says:

Red Requiem is the THIRD Garo movie.

Garo: Byuakuya no Maju finishes the series. Then there was Garo: Kiba Gaiden. And THEN it was this.

  7. Dan says:

There IS a reason that women can’t be Makai Knights! Do your research EZ!

They could only make so many armours when the battle against the Horor’s began and it was at a time when women where looked down apon so the armours is MADE for a MAN to wear, it wouldn’t fit a woman and therefor hinder them in combat. And they can’t make new armour because they haven’t got the means anymore!

  8. Dan says:

The reason the final fight was Messiah-like, and her final form was similar to Messiah, was because she wzas a special brand of Horor who have grown to such power they are almost as strong as messiah!

    1. EZ Rider says:

Okay Dan. Good points all around.

Allow me a chance to explain.

      1) Byuakuya no Maju is a two part mini-series, NOT a movie and this is monster MOVIE fest. You are correct
that chronologically they are first but Kiba Gaiden came out a year after this. So forgive me for not going
in chronological order. It’s not how I choose to do this.

      2) I shouldn’t have to “Do My Research” when a movie brings up something like that and then never gives us a straight answer.
They should not have tiptoed around such an important issue that THEY brought up like it never happened. It’s kind of insulting to
the audience. It’s not a major problem with the film but a little closure would have been nice.

      3) Keep in mind I have not seen every single shred of Garo media and I’m not an expert on the timeline. And even
if I did I wouldn’t blurt out events that could ruin it for those who are just getting into the world of Garo.
When I’m reviewing a movie I focus on the current situation and do not mention things that will happen
      later on in the timeline.

Hope this clears up any confusion and thanks for watching.

  9. Am I the only one that thinks that Garo with the souls of the defeated Makai Knights looks like a gold version of TaJaDor?

  10. funny, this video came up on the same october that des shinta did his review of the movie

  11. Dylan Ogg says:

GAAAAAAAAAAGH! Why couldn’t you use the instrumental version for Rekka’s training montage, EZ!?

  12. 12:08 That’s Lita’s theme!

    1. Dylan Scott Ogg says:

      The bad one sadly…
